It's almost here!
FIN presents its fourth trunk show, Olive - and this time it's all about the color... olive!
Inspired by camouflage clothing, FIN delivers its whole gamut of products by exploring the use of fabrics from various shades of olive. Different textures and patterns are thoughtfully pieced together to demonstrate the art of Boro patchwork beyond indigo.
The origins of camouflage goes back to the loss of the French military during World War I, where impeccable red uniforms were traded in for hand-painted stealth attire, known as camoufleurs. Camouflage was illustrated in several 20th century artistic movements such post-impressionism, pointillism and Cubism.
Apart from indigo and denim, olive is also one of the colors and fabrics often used at FIN. Its functionality, versatility and durability as a work-wear are the main reasons that olive is such a workhorse at FIN. We use it in our aprons, tote bags and clutch bags, and in this show, we'd like to show you just how versatile and appealing it can be. As with previous trunk shows, FIN collaborates with local artisans and craftsmen, and this year we'll be featuring leather maker, Second Nature and shoes customiser extraordinaire, SBTG.
Enough of all the talk, come by for the show and say hi! We'll have coffee and cookies if you should get peckish.
